Karen Gillan wants to be on Inspector Spacetime

bbcamerica:

We dropped by the Doctor Who studio in Cardiff just before The Ponds wrapped on their final episodes to talk with Karen Gillan about Community’s (NBC) Doctor Who-spoof “Inspector Spacetime”.

It turns out she’s a huge fan of both the sitcom and the show within the sitcom. #AmyMeetsAbed

Let’s do this, Tumblr (reblog and tweet with the hashtag #AmyMeetsAbed.)

Star Trek Sequel Wraps Filming
After four months of filming, the untitled Star Trek sequel is finally moving on to post production. Lead actors Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg took to the internet to tease fans with a little slice of life behind the scenes, sharing photos via Twitter of their costumes and stage chairs to commemorate the final day of shooting.
The film is moving along right on schedule and is heading toward a release sometime around May of next year. Keep your eyes peeled for a potential sneak peak at San Diego Comic Con this summer.

All fiction is metaphor. Science fiction is metaphor. What sets it apart from older forms of fiction seems to be its use of new metaphors, drawn from certain great dominants of our contemporary life — science, all the sciences, and technology, and the relativistic and the historical outlook, among them. Space travel is one of these metaphors; so is an alternative society, an alternative biology; the future is another. The future, in fiction, is a metaphor.
